Step 1: Create an eCitizen Account
- Visit the eCitizen website: Go to eCitizen.
- Sign up for an account: If you don’t already have an account, click on “Create an Account” and select either “Kenyan Citizen” or “Foreign Residents.”
- Fill in your details: Provide your ID number, first name, middle name, last name, email address, and phone number.
- Create a password: Ensure it’s strong and secure.
- Confirm your account: You’ll receive a confirmation email. Click the link in the email to verify your account.
Step 2: Log In to Business Registration Service (BRS)
- Sign in: Proceed to the Business Registration service and login.
- On the dashboard go to Companies Registry Services and click Proceed
- Under the services go to registration of a business name and click Apply.

- Choose ‘Make Application’: Click on “Apply” under the Registration of a business name Service.
